Wellbeing at Work

Introduction

As the current financial challenges continue to bite it is clear that increased stress and anxiety is affecting people and leading to reduced performance and increased absenteeism.  At this crucial time, taking care of the emotional health and resilience of staff is vital to surviving and thriving in these difficult times.

The Wellbeing Journey is an innovative personal support programme that develops people both to respond to the current challenges in their life and to work in a more balanced way.  It is designed to help reduce any stress or anxiety about the future, and to improve self-esteem, self-confidence and self-responsibility.

Paying attention to and investing in the wellbeing of people helps them to move from;

  • confusion to  clarity
  • focus on the past to  a focus on the future
  • scarcity to abundance
  • fear to optimism
  • dependency to self-reliance
  • victim to self-management
  • withdrawal to engagement
  • self pre-occupation to co-creation

What does the Wellbeing Journey offer?

We equip the person with liberating and practical tools to help them keep learning and responding to change by:

  • feeling free and creative
  • being calm and collected
  • building emotional strength
  • linking values to identity and purpose
  • caring in a balanced way for self and others
  • leading their life and not being a victim
  • accessing the courage to be decisive
  • staying vital and enthusiastic about their life

Why the Welbeing Journey makes a difference?

Through the Wheel of Wellbeing our programme weaves together many strands of modern personal development with an ancient wisdom tradition of self knowledge and self discovery. It enables people to stay positive and happy by offering:

  • a safe environment to explore the impact of change
  • new ways to identify and eliminate self imposed constraints
  • guided practices to embed new wellbeing attitudes and behaviours
  • a workbook and journal for reflection and self evaluation
  • the building of a trusted support group
  • guides who have experience of wellbeing, leadership development and supporting change management

Participant feedback:

“The Wellbeing Journey had definitely had an impact on my work. I take more time in trying to understand a personal situation by looking at the whole picture. As my own wellbeing has improved I feel that I am more able to respond positively and engage fully in my work.”

“I enjoyed sharing different opinions in a calm and comfortable environment, being able to share experiences without feeling pressured. I have managed to learn a lot from the group. It was easy to discuss diverse issues that affect our life.”

“I have learnt so much about myself from the Wellbeing Journey which helps me on a daily basis. I now take much more time to think about my role in life and the positive things that influence it. I appreciate things much more and look deeper into how and why people act in a certain way.”

“I gained more insight and clarity about my role in my work and how I can bring intelligence to my work. Awareness of the surroundings (work colleagues, policies, resources etc) and how to harness them for the betterment of the organisation and its people.

If we all did the things we are capable of,

we would astound ourselves.
